Harris (Richard Lynch) is the Jim Jones-style leader of a cult called Unity Fields who dies during a mass suicide in a fire in 1973.
Somehow he returns 13 years later to terrorise the lone survivor, Cynthia (Jennifer Rubin) when she finally comes out of a coma and is being cared for by psychiatrist, Dr Berrisford (Harris Yulin) and Dr Alex Karmen (Bruce Abbott).
With its burnt-faced baddy and dream-like visions, the film is highly derivative of the Nightmare on Elm Street series but holds up quite well as a decent standalone slasher flick.
Unfortunately, the deaths are neither imaginative nor particularly gruesome and the final-act twist is just dumb.
The soundtrack features I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) by The Electric Prunes and Time Has Come Today by The Chambers Brothers.
