This romantic comedy has three attractive air-hostesses combining their work crossing the Atlantic between New York and European capitals with a search for a rich handsome man to marry.
Meanwhile, the stuffy boss Oliver Garson (Richard Wattis) watches out for “moral lapses” that would reflect badly on the airline.
Beautiful gold-digging Donna Stuart (Dolores Hart) falls for Franz Von Elzingen (Karl Boehm), an impoverished German baron who is out to use Donna in an illegal smuggling scam.
Plain girl “Bergie” Bergstrom (Lois Nettleton) is dreamy-eyed over Texan widower Walter Lucas (Karl Malden), and flighty Carol Brewster (Pamela Tiffin) is hooked by First Officer Ray Winsley (Hugh O’Brian, TV’s Wyatt Earp) but is up against stiff competition from Parisian Katy Rimard (Dawn Addams), who doesn’t let the fact that she already has a husband stand in her way.
The movie is easy to predict, entertaining to watch and the sights of Paris and Vienna are delightful.
All three leading ladies are charming. This was Dolores Hart’s penultimate movie role — when her commitment was up she split from Hollywood and began a successful new life as a nun, eventually becoming Mother Dolores.
