Thrill fans and horror buffs will find something to please them in this much better than average made-for-TV horror yarn.
Anthropologist Mercer Boley (Cornel Wilde) and his daughter Diana (Jennifer Salt) travel to New Mexico where they get mixed up with an assortment of strange and unusual events that make for a very suspenseful film.
Cornel Wilde, an underappreciated actor, makes good use of his role and the makeup created by Sonny Burman and Stan Winston for the gargoyles is excellent.
Effects are well applied, the score from Robert Prince is satisfyingly spooky and the climax is a real stunner.
The entire film was shot for spare change in the Arizona desert with a single camera.
