The Prime Minister (Richard Vernon) is angling for the youth vote but (stupidly) cutting the amount of pop music on television.
Teenagers decide to reject the various political parties and form their own, drafting in a number of pop singers – including Brian Poole and the Tremeloes, Joe Brown and the Bruvvers, Kenny Lynch and Bobby Vee – to help them. Alan ‘Fluff’ Freeman and David Jacobs appear as disc jockeys. Jimmy Saville also features as one of the disc jockeys (Amicus could hardly know what the future held).
