In 1972, upper-class snot Bob Spinnaker (Gerrit Graham) and his classmates pulled a cruel sex prank on Walter Baylor (Blackie Dammett, the father of Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis).
Ten years later, he has escaped from a mental hospital and returned to Lizzie Borden High School in a dress and with a bag on his head to kill during a Class of ’72 reunion party at the crumbling school.
With Michael Lerner as the mental hospital doctor, Marya Small as a deaf and blind nymphomaniac named Iris, Shelley Smith as Bob’s snooty blonde fiancee Meredith Modess, Stephen Furst as the cretinous, perverted slob Hubert who hasn’t changed at all since high school, Anne Ramsey as a crude and grubby cafeteria lady, and Misty Rowe as Cindy Shears.
Miriam Flynn plays the prudish, bossy and perpetually cheerful Bunny Packard, and Fred McCarren is Gary Nash – the boring guy nobody remembers. For no sensible reason, Delores Salk (a hilarious Zane Busby) is a Satanist who spews fire, and some guy is a vampire.
There’s also a black-and-white pair of Cheech and Chong-style stoners (Art Evans and Barry Diamond), and Chuck Berry plays It Wasn’t Me and part of My Ding-A-Ling.
The screenplay was written by future director John Hughes. The movie was a box-office disappointment.
