One of those kitsch 1960s Californian beach party movies, which began with Beach Party (1963).
In this one, Tommy Kirk plays a Martian scout (“Go-Go”) sent to Earth to prepare for an invasion who drops in on the high jinks of a teenage party with suitably nonplussed results.
Meanwhile, a plot is afoot by con man J Sinister Hulk (veteran comedy star Jesse White) to steal the hostess’s money.
Go-Go falls in love with Earth girl Connie (Annette Funicello), thwarts the robbery and calls off the invasion.

It is meant to be gently amusing but is unintentionally gut-wrenchingly funny, despite the presence of such greats as Buster Keaton (as Chief Rotten Eagle), Elsa Lanchester (as the loveable and zany Aunt Wendy who runs a dress shop as a hobby) and sultry Dorothy Lamour.
Harvey Lembeck brings back Eric Von Zipper, the bumbling Marlon Brando-like motorcycle gang leader, Jody McCrea creates a new character – much like his famous ‘Deadhead’ – called Big Lunk, Ben Lessy (of the nightclub comedy team of Moore and Lessy) plays Fleegle, and 18-year-old Bikini Beach star Donna Loren returns as Vikki, once more showing off her amazing singing voice.
Making her AIP debut is beautiful Susan Hart as Jilda, and the “perpetual motion girl” Candy Johnson – whose dancing made such a hit in the Beach Party movies – shakes everybody up again in Pajama Party.
The film also introduces voluptuous Bobbi Shaw, who makes her motion picture debut as Helga, and beautiful blonde Cheryl Sweeten as Francine.
Watch out for bit parts from 1980s one-hit wonder Toni Basil and 80s comedienne Teri Garr.
