    60 minute episodes

This early BBC production was a live variety series featuring a range of performers, including music acts, comedy acts, acrobats, and other variety acts.

The show was conceived as a homegrown rival to Cafe Continental with British guests including Harry Secombe, Julie Andrews, Clive Dunn, Norman Wisdom, Winifred Atwell, Michael Bentine, Jimmy Jewel, Jack Warner, Alfred Marks, Frank Muir, Hermione Baddeley, Dorothy Squires, Max Wall, and Tessie O’Shea.

Presenters included Jerry Desmonde, Jack Jackson, Stewart MacPherson and Al Burnett, accompanied by dance troupe The Rooftop Lovelies.

Musical accompaniment was provided by Jack Johnson and the Rendezvous Orchestra. The show was produced by Richard Afton.

The BBC discontinued the show and merged it with The Top Hat to become Top Hat Rendezvous in the winter of 1951.
