This loose, modernised adaptation of the Jules Verne classic aired as a segment on the Cattanooga Cats series.
Phineas Fogg Jr. (voiced by Bruce Watson) was the son of the original explorer Phileas Fogg.
“Phinny” and teenage reporters Jenny (voiced by Janet Waldo) and Hoppy (Don Messick) travelled the globe hoping to win £1 million if they completed the tour and beat the original record set by Phinny’s father by one day.
Standing in their way was the sinister Crumden (Daws Butler) – who had previously been Phinny’s butler – and his buffoonish chauffeur sidekick Bumbler (Allan Melvin), who were accompanied by their pet monkey, Smirky.
