His wife Patricia was played by Sandra Warner. His guitar-strumming, philosophising Uncle Cooter – who sang a tune on the front porch in most episodes – was played by Red Foley.
Senator Smith’s secretary was Miss Kelly (Rita Lynn) and his womanising chauffeur was Arnie (Stan Irwin).
