Music Hall

1 9 6 9 – 1 9 7 0 (UK)
15 x 60 minute episodes

This British-produced variety series from ATV was hosted by Belgian-born Tony Sandler and New Yorker and former big band singer Ralph Young – a vocal duo unknown in the UK but well-known in the US – with help from series regulars Norman Wisdom and Laugh-In girl Judy Carne.

The series was clearly designed to appeal to an American audience and aired in the US as the summer replacement for The Kraft Music Hall on NBC. In the US it was broadcast as Kraft Music Hall presents Sandler and Young.

Guests were a mix of British and American artists, including Jack Haig, Sid Caesar, Lena Horne, Terry-Thomas, Jack Douglas, Lee Delano, Victor Borge, Ella Fitzgerald, Al Martino, Frank Gorshin, Stanley Unwin, Rita Webb, Pat Coombs, Phyllis Diller, Lonnie Donegan, Barbara Feldon and Vincent Price.

Jack Parnell and his Orchestra provided the musical backing.
