Capitalising on the shark-mania created by the popularity of the movie Jaws(1975), Hanna-Barbera introduced Jabberjaw – a talking 15-foot great white shark who could walk upright and sounded like Curly from The Three Stooges.
Jabber played the drums with a band called The Neptunes – comprised of teenagers Biff, Shelley, Bubbles and Clam Head – in a futuristic undersea realm (a la Sealab 2020).
But the band was just a cover for the group’s actual purpose; to solve baffling crimes and take on various villains to defeat their nefarious schemes (just like Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?).
