After nine years on Walton Mountain, Ralph Waite floated down the Mississippi in this CBS series as a prominent criminal lawyer Ben Walker, who left the big city to travel the river as the owner of a river tugboat.
Naturally, they turned out to be troubled waters, and Ben found a new case and a desperate client in every port.
Linda Miller also starred as his quick-witted sharp-tongued protégé, and Stan Shaw, Ben’s assistant, kept the river tug running when he wasn’t getting into scrapes of his own.
