Earthworm Jim was based on a successful video game series of the time.
Jim (Dan Castellaneta) was an average earthworm until he stumbled upon a powerful suit that gave him super strength and various gadgets.
He now fights with his sidekick Peter Puppy (Jeff Bennett) – an anthropomorphic dog that turned into a monster when scared – against the forces of evil, including Psycrow (Jim Cummings), Professor Monkey-for-A-Head (Charlie Adler), and Queen Slug-For-A-Butt (Andrea Martin) – whose full name is Queen Pulsating Bloated Festering Sweaty Pus-Filled Malformed Slug-For-A-Butt .
The series was known for its incredibly wacky stories that normally included Jim saving the day while also going after his love interest, Princess Whats-Her-Name (Kath Soucie).
