This feeble sequel to 70s Australian sex comedy Alvin Purple (1973) has the irresistible young Alvin (Graeme Blundell) grinning and baring all as he switches places with a look-alike gangster called “Balls” Mc Gee.
As well as battling with a bevvy of beautiful women – including briony Behets and Abigail – Alvin has to make peace with McGee and a sinister three-foot-tall dwarf.
Alvin (as Balls) falls for Boobs LaTouche (Chantal Contouri) when the pair are introduced by Fingers (Frank Thring): “Balls, this is Boobs. Boobs, this is Balls”.
Shakespeare it ain’t.
Blundell gallops through it all, giving the impression that he’s thoroughly enjoying it, culminating in a car chase and a semi-naked getaway in a purple Valiant Charger.
Brian Cadd provides the music and has a cameo in the film as a nightclub singer.
