This 1975 ‘Ozploitation’ pretend documentary – shot on 16mm film then blown up to 35mm for distribution – looks at a random collection of stories from the “dark side” of Australian culture.
Mostly filmed in Kings Cross (Sydney) and Melbourne, it features flabby white pimply girls with tubby moustachioed guys faking getting it on, allegedly showing viewers how naughty these Aussie swingers are – touching on naked body-painting, underwater nude dancing, milk bathing, snake eating, mud wrestling, gay weddings and satanism.
Despite the constant nudity, the whole thing is as boring as watching paint dry and just as titillating.
Director John D Lamond went on to make the documentary The ABC of Love and Sex: Australia Style in 1978.
