This bubblegum from Wrigley’s first hit American shelves in 1979 but is most associated with the 1980s when the fun flavours (such as Cotton Candy, Cola Party, Groovy Watermelon and Gushing Grape) and non-stick bubbles made it a must-have treat.
The brand got its’ name from the phrase “Hubba Hubba” which was used by members of the US military in World War II to indicate that they approved of something.
Hubba Bubba quickly became the #1 selling bubblegum brand in the US.
