Jeff Prior (Lonny Chapman) was a private detective from New York City. He was young, eager and as tough as nails when he had to be.
His retired newspaperman father, Lloyd (Howard St. John), was also his assistant. However, Lloyd was not as headstrong as his son and preferred a more laid-back approach when investigating cases.
This summer replacement series from NBC aired on Tuesdays at 8.00 pm and was broadcast live.
Stories followed the father-son case investigations as styles clashed, each trying to do what was best for their clients.
