This Desilu drama series was a spin-off from The Sheriff of Cochise, also starring John Bromfield.

The name of the series changed when Frank Morgan (Bromfield) accepted the position of U.S. Marshal based in Pima County, Arizona.

The change, instigated by Desi Arnaz, permitted more varied plots by enabling Morgan to range all over Arizona and deal with many types of crime.

John Bromfield died of kidney failure in Palm Desert, where he had gone to seek medical treatment, in September 2005. He was 83.
