This BBC show – produced during the summer months of 1968 – gave Glaswegian singer Lulu her first starring television entertainment series.
As well as singing, Lulu featured in short comedy spots such as a sketch in the first episode where she played the part of a caber tosser with Sportsview host Frank Bough taking part for added authenticity.
Joining Lulu over the seven Tuesday-evening shows were backing singers The Ladybirds and guests including Lou Rawls, The Everly Brothers, the Alan Price Set, Clive Dunn, Hattie Jacques, Les Dawson, Georgie Fame, Reg Varney, Frankie Vaughan and Rolf Harris.
Lulu returned to BBC television in 1969 with Happening For Lulu.
