When it premiered in May 1969, spry Scotsman Billy Raymond hosted this Australian musical variety show set in a (fictional) English pub. British comedian Reg Varney (of The Rag Trade fame) took over for 13 episodes, assisted by Toni Lamond.

When Varney eventually returned to the UK, Mike Preston joined the show to assist Raymond.

The Channel Ten (ATV-0) series included regular artists such as Neil Williams, James Pegler, Kathy Lloyd, Slim Degrey and Julie Lewis banging out singalong versions of old songs like I’m Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover, Bull and Bush, Let Me Call You Sweetheart and April Showers.
