A series of 10 x 60 minute authentic docu-dramas from Granada which chronicled and re-enacted famous historical British trials such as those of Oscar Wilde and Sir Roger Casement (played here by Peter Wyngarde).
The shows included factual narration by Andrew Faulds and explanatory commentary by Brian Inglis and were something of a forerunner to the courtroom drama documentaries that would become popular in the 1980s.
The cast of the various episodes included William Franklyn, Rachel Roberts, Milo O’Shea, Joss Ackland, Ewen Solon, Georgina Cookson, Donald Wolfit, Michael Robbins, William Mervyn and Roger Livesey.
