The North Country innocent-in-London, Albert Courtnay (Rodney Bewes) came bouncing back in this short-lived sequel to Dear Mother . . . Love Albert from Yorkshire Television.
Toffee salesman and overgrown adolescent Albert clashed with his future mother-in-law (Amelia Bayntun), argued with AC Strain (Garfield Morgan) – his boss at Tomlinson’s Toffees – over the length of his hair, and lost his job and his fiancee, Doreen (Liz Gebhardt and then Cheryl Hall) – but showed himself as resilient as ever.
Bewes not only starred in the seven episodes, he wrote and produced too. Bill Hitchcock directed.
