This kids series from the Children’s Film Foundation (CFF) featured five annoying kids – Rocky (Luke Batchelor), Susie (Lesley Saunders), Slim (Philip Sadler), Fiddler (Wayne Kebell) and Magpie (Tracy Strand) – having annoying “adventures” such as setting themselves up in business as “psychedrastic” painters and decorators (they redecorated the wrong apartment), competing in a pancake baking contest (so they could win the prize of a week’s supply of groceries for a year and give it to their friend, Mrs Sparrow, whose income didn’t allow her to buy enough food) and entering their snail in a snail race.
The series was filmed at Pinewood Studios and on location in Denham, Buckinghamshire.
Guests appearing in the series included Kenny Lynch, Colin Jeavons, Johnny Vyvyan, Harry H. Corbett, Peggy Mount, Stacy Dorning, Norman Bird, Irene Handl, Judy Cornwell, Sam Kydd, Roy Barraclough, Valerie Singleton (from Blue Peter), future supermodel Naomi Campbell and William Rushton.
