Jan Harvey and Alan Rothwell presented this preschool children’s programme from Granada Television. They were helped by puppet characters Wriggle, a mischievous caterpillar, and Splodge, a slow and indecisive snail.
Episodes aired at lunchtime and were designed to provide the young viewers with fun and light-hearted learning.
Harvey had previously appeared as Pat Barraclough in the Granada drama series Sam (1973 – 1976).
The puppetry and black theatre on the show were by Susan Kodicek and Ross Cerny, with voices by Sidney Livingstone and Mark Sheridan. Film animations were by Lyndon Evans, with music arranged by Derek Hilton.
