This comedy series from Yorkshire Television debuted on Thursday 24 September 1970 and told of the problems of site foreman Charlie Cattermole (John Junkin) and his tangles with a bunch of characters supposed to be building “a delightful estate of Bijoux residences” for Thomas Clackwood and Sons, builders.
Leading the “Us” in the constant war of “Them and Us” was Gussie Sissons (Kenneth Connor).
Derek Griffiths, John Normington, Gordon Rollings, Peter Attard and Robin Askwith co-starred.
Sid Collins, the creator of the series, used to be Yorkshire’s Head of Light Entertainment.
