1 9 8 2 – 1 9 8 4 (Australia)
20 x 20 minute episodes
This Aussie kid’s series revolved around two friends, Kristal (Kim Trengove) and Rick (future Neighbours star Stefan Dennis), who started a trouble-shooting business – called Infinity Ltd – to solve problems using logic, research and science.
Their office was located above the basement office of Vortex Ventures – headed up by the conniving Vortex (Ross Williams) and his inept sidekick Plankton (Ian Scott) – who constantly tried to steal Infinity Ltd’s customers, usually without much success.
Episodes found Kris and Rick investigating why the mud bricks used to build a house were developing large cracks as they dried; why some chicken eggs had failed to hatch in an incubator at a children’s home; why most of a beekeeper’s bees had died; if a tanker spill was responsible for the dead fish in a nearby stream; and how to turn cow pats into methane.
They also entered a competition for super fuel-efficient vehicles.
The science-based series was produced by ABC-TV’s education department and aimed at primary school children.
