This Yorkshire TV comedy series followed the romantic events in the lives of two couples – recently divorced Pamela (Judy Loe) and man-about-town bachelor Malcolm (Roger Rees), and Jackie (Susie Blake) and hospital porter Clive (Eamon Boland) – a single father of three – who met in a singles bar.
Egocentric thrice-married faded actor Dennis Duvall (Simon Cadell) replaced Malcolm as a new suitor for Pamela in 1991 when Roger Rees moved to the US to join the cast of the sitcom Cheers.
The half-hour series of on-again, off-again romances was written by Eric Chappell and Jean Warr and produced and directed by Vernon Lawrence.
