    26 x 30 minute episodes

“Action Man” (voiced by Mark Griffin) is the leader of the elite multinational strike force known as ‘Action Force’ which was established to fight evil. Action Man knows no other name as he is suffering from amnesia.

Other members of the team include Natalie Poole (Joely Collins); bomb expert and tough guy, Knuck Williams (Dale Wilson); Jacques (Richard Cox) – a computer whiz in a wheelchair; Norris (Garry Chalk) and Action Man’s trusty dog companion, Raid.

Their primary assignment is to stop Doctor X (pictured at left, voiced by Rolf Leenders) and his ‘Council of Doom’ wreaking havoc on the world.

The series never aired on terrestrial television in the UK due to regulations over toy advertisements on television. British broadcasting regulations allow for toys to be made from existing TV shows, but programmes may not be based on existing toys.

This cartoon series was based on the Hasbro action figure of the same name and clearly designed to promote sales.

A CGI-based remake in 2000 was vastly inferior.
