This short-run summer CBS series focused on a group of beautiful young college freshmen living and loving in a co-ed dormitory at fictional Western Pacific University in Southern California.

Molly (Robyn Lively), a theatre major who wanted to become an actress, had enrolled to be with her boyfriend, Danny (Matthew Fox), who had received an athletic scholarship to WPU.

After she moved in with him their relationship fell apart, and, though still friends, they went their separate ways.

KC (Arlene Taylor) – a lower-class Hispanic girl from Los Angeles on a financial aid scholarship whose real name was Kamala Consuelo Ricardo – was ashamed of her modest background and created a facade to get into the fancy Kappa sorority while working as a waitress to pay some of the costs.

Others in the dorm were Lulu Abercrombie (Paige French), a pretty, spoiled rich girl from New York who was used to getting anything she wanted; Zack Taylor (Casper Van Dien), a free-spirited surfer with minimal interest in his studies; Zack’s studious black roommate, Alex Woods (Kevin Mambo); and Joe Ellis (Justin Lazard), the new campus hunk.

The series was based on the Freshman Dorm books by Linda Alper Cooney and Kevin Cooney.
