JoJo Smith hosted this look at the world of British comedy – from stand-up and sitcoms to videos and feature films – which aired on ITV late at night, often in the wee hours of the morning.
British comedians old and new were interviewed by JoJo Smith and other comedians (including Stan Boardman and Craig Cash), often in unusual locations (Alan Davies was interviewed in a launderette).
The interview subjects included Charlie Chuck, Victoria Wood, Jack Douglas, Fenella Fielding, Caroline Aherne, Jenny Eclair, John Inman, Bernard Manning, Vicki Michelle, Jo Brand, Rich Hall, Arthur Smith, Jimmy Jones, and Jeff Green.
The series ended in July with two weeks of compilation shows, but JoJo Smith returned in August with a look at the Edinburgh Festival and more interviews with comedians including Patrick Kielty, Malcolm Hardee, Rhona Cameron, Vic Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Matt Lucas, David Baddiel, Harry Hill, John Shuttleworth, Joe Pasquale, Lee Evans, Craig Charles, Lee Hurst, John Sparkes and the cast of the comedy series Game On.
Smith was joined in the second series by Iain Coyle, providing video reviews.
