Makin’ Time hailed from the West Midlands and for a period were considered the great white hopes for the mod revival scene.
Their debut single Here Is My Number was produced by Pat Collier who had previously worked with Katrina and the Waves.
The band released a number of albums and several singles but never managed to convert their energetic sound into chart success.
Bassist Martin Blunt would go on to perform in The Charlatans while Fay Hallam went on to make over 10 albums, as Phaze, The Fay Hallam Trinity, and most recently as a solo artist.
Her first solo album, Corona was released on the Blow Up label in 2015.
