This syndicated drama series – a ZIV Television production – followed the exploits of the San Francisco-based United States Coast Guard Harbor Police, with cases ranging from arson and drug trafficking to murder and smuggling.
Wendell Corey starred as Captain Ralph Baxter.
Storylines were supervised and approved by the San Diego Port Authority and the 11th District US Coast Guard Station and based on real coastguard and police files.
Wendell Corey died on 8 November 1968 of cirrhosis of the liver as a result of alcoholism. He was just 54.
