Three years after the American series Martin Kane, Private Eye ended, this sequel series was produced in Britain and filmed at Elstree Studios for ITV.
Kane had now moved to London and the role was played by William Gargan (who had been the original Martin Kane). His connection at Scotland Yard was Superintendent Page (Brian Reece).
The series was syndicated in the US as The New Adventures of Martin Kane and known in the UK as Martin Kane, Private Investigator.
