Patrick Malone (Ralph Taeger) and Gregg Miles (James Coburn) were Korean-war buddies who “retired” to life as beachcombers in Acapulco, Mexico, when they became dissatisfied with life in the US.
When they weren’t lounging around the nightclub owned by Bobby Troup – where the hostess was Chloe (Allison Hayes) – or chasing women, they worked as bodyguards for Mr Carver (Telly Savalas), who was retired from a long career as a crusading criminal lawyer and found himself frequently threatened by enemies from his past.
Guest stars included Alan Hale Jr, Leslie Parrish, Michael Pate, Julie London, Broderick Crawford and Gene Barry.
The series aired on NBC between 27 February and 24 April 1961, with Taeger and Coburn switching in mid-season from the NBC show Klondike.
