Urbane and soft-spoken English attorney Dundee (John Mills) and his young Irish-American apprentice – nicknamed ‘The Culhane’ (Sean Garrison) – were two frontier lawyers who provided legal defence to their accused clients, many of whom were victims of so-called “frontier justice”.
The sophisticated Dundee was averse to violence while the Culhane was rugged and fast with his guns.
The show attempted to combine the Western and legal show genres, but with little success, and the CBS summer replacement series had a short lifespan.
