Yet another obnoxious Chuck Barris Production, this morning show from ABC debuted in September 1967. It featured married men who appeared on stage to make derogatory claims about their mothers-in-law and three celebrity “defence attorneys” who stood up for the women’s honour.
Deciding who among the several mothers-in-law featured on that day’s show was the least shrewish and thus deserving of the $100 top prize was a “bachelor jury” of five unmarried men and women each.
It was about as funny as any mother-in-law joke.
