Jack Spear and Lucien Kaminsky created and wrote episodes for this live show which combined the whimsical qualities of Peter Pan and The Pied Piper of Hamelin.
Pip (Jack Spear) – first cousin to Peter Pan and half-brother to the Pied Piper – dressed as a medieval minstrel and played a magic flute. Episodes were set in the magic land of Pipertown, a utopian hamlet in the clouds where the necessities of life grew on trees and nothing needed to be manufactured.
Accompanied by Miss Merrynote (Phyllis Spear) and Mr Leader (Lucien Kaminsky), Pip engaged in all manner of wonderful adventures.
Music was a universal language in Pipertown and every citizen conversed by playing a musical instrument. Mr Leader coordinated the citizens’ “conversations” and played many of the roles.
All the women resembled Miss Merrynote (for obvious reasons) who wore a “Miss Pennypocket” skirt with a piano keyboard design.
