Gary Wilmot starred in this lightweight Saturday evening ITV series, mixing sketches, comedy, film clips and interviews. The show featured vox pop interviews, film shot on location, and a variety of unusual guests seated in the audience.
“Nice guy” Gary was joined by Mikki Broughton and Martin Beaumont.
Debiting on 4 July 1987, the show – produced by Central Television – was never going to be a world-beater, but the lunacy and pace kept boredom at bay. A second series of six episodes appeared the following year.
