The Telebugs – a white robot named “Chip” (for Coordinated Hexadecimal Information Processor), a yellow robot named “Samantha” (Solar Activated Micro Automated Non-inTerference-Hearing-Apparatus) and a red robot named “Bug” (Binary Unmanned Gamma-camera) – were the creation of Professor Brainstrain, who spoke like a cross between Jonathan Woss and Chris Eubank (“Pwofessor Bwainstwain”).
The trio (who had televisions for heads) regularly faced adversaries such as Baron Bullybyte; his sister Magna; their evil computer Angel Brain; and Arcadia, a young computer criminal who controlled an army of evil robots.
They also worked as reporters for a TV station headed by Mr McStarch.
They were accompanied on their adventures by a flying video pack called Mic.
Ron Moody and Susie Westerby supplied most of the voices in this low-budget cartoon series from TVS.
