This animated series from CBS was an adaptation of the 1994 feature film of the same title about Ace Ventura (voiced by Michael Daingerfield), a rather insane young man who has quite an unusual occupation as a pet detective.
Stories follow his blundering efforts to locate stolen or missing pets, assisted by his pet monkey sidekick, Spike (voiced by Richard Binsley).
Canadian actor Michael Daingerfield voiced the character of Ace Ventura (a role played in the original movie by Jim Carrey). Seth MacFarlane was among the writers.
