Adam and Joe Show, The

22 x 25 minute episodes

School friends Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish wrote, filmed, hosted and acted in their own home-made TV show for Channel 4.

Filmed in what appeared to be a small bedsit (actually a space in Brixton), where Adam and Joe sat on a bed surrounded by pop culture clutter, the duo would re-create scenes from famous movies using stuffed toys, parody popular TV shows using Star Wars action figures, and – dressed as policemen –  raid the homes of famous musicians to inspect their record collection, arresting them for any bad albums, in a segment called ‘Vinyl Justice’.

Adam’s real-life father appeared as BaaadDad, reviewing contemporary youth culture (such as music videos and Ibiza nightclubs) with an often bewildered perspective.
