Spike Milligan narrated this children’s animation series (and provided all the voices for the characters), bringing classic fairy stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel up to date.
The humorous modern adaptations of the classics featured a dastardly trio of villains, including – as the title said – a wily wolf, a wicked witch and an enormous giant.
The series was produced by Honeycomb Animation and broadcast on ITV. The stories were written by composer and songwriter Ed Welch. Spike did his own ad-libs.
