Aussie band The Questions first attracted attention when they were runners-up in Hoadley’s 1967 National Battle of The Sounds. Shortly after they were voted Most Promising New Group by Everybody’s Magazine.
The group held a residency at the Manly Pacific Hotel, a major Sydney venue, and played support slots for The Who and Small Faces on their Australian visits.
When The Questions disbanded, singer Doug Parkinson formed In Focus and sang with Fanny Adams (alongside former Bee Gees guitarist Vince Melouney) before embarking on a successful solo career.
Doug Parkinson passed away on 15 March 2021 in Sydney. He was 74
