This CBS anthology series presented 45 hour-long adaptations of 20th Century Fox theatrical films, sponsored by General Electric.
The adaptations included Miracle on 34th Street, Phone Call from a Stranger, Broken Arrow, The Ghost and Mrs Muir, and Remember the Day, with performers including Steve McQueen, Joanne Woodward, Robert Stack, Macdonald Carey, Gene Barry, Vera Miles, Bette Davis, Trevor Howard, Peter Lorre, Raymond Burr, Robert Wagner, Michael Rennie, Ricardo Montalban, Claude Akins, Fay Wray, Merle Oberon, Rita Moreno, Harry Morgan, Vince Edwards, Jamie Farr and Michael Landon.
The show originally aired on alternate Wednesday nights with Joseph Cotten as the initial host.
The productions were later remastered and restored, and aired on the Fox Movie Channel in 2003 as Hour of Stars.
