It’s wartime, and with troops from every part of the Empire staying in Glasgow, the dance halls are full. Except for Chic Dunn’s Bijou Ballroom, where all is not well.
Chic (Ronald Fraser in the worst wig on the planet) is the leader of the Chic Dunn Ballroom Big Band Sound, a combo marginally more tuneful than a squeaky air-raid shelter door.
Aimi Macdonald co-starred as the dumb but sexy singer, with Stephen Hancock (formerly Ernie Bishop from Coronation Street) as the pianist, Harry Carruthers.
