    Runaround

    1 9 7 5 – 1 9 8 1 (UK)

A boisterous game show for kids featuring incomprehensible rules and Mike Reid from The Comedians as the incongruous host who seemed more suited to be an extra on The Sweeney.

The kids competing were given three potential answers to each question and had to then run and stand on the answer of their choice on the studio floor. The kids were then given the opportunity to “runaround” and change their answer.

Kids with a correct answer would then pick up a yellow ball which counted as one point. If only one person got the correct answer, they would get a red ball (two points). Anyone who answered incorrectly was consigned to the dungeon until nobody answered correctly at which they were allowed to rejoin the game.
