22 x 30 minute episodes
In the year 2147, machines became so sophisticated that they revolted against their human masters and the Metal Wars broke out.
The battle was short-lived, and the machines won.
Soon after, the evil Lord Dread (David Hemblen), leader of the Volcanian Empire, created Bio-Dreads – deadly machines programmed to seek out and destroy any remaining humans.
But, from the fires of the Metal Wars arose a new breed of warriors trained to bring down Lord Dread and his empire –
the Soldiers of the Future and mankind’s last hope for survival.
Episodes related the efforts of the freedom fighters, led by Captain Jonathan Power (Tim Dunigan), to protect the human race from Lord Dread.
Other featured freedom fighters included Major Matthew “Hawk” Masterson (Peter MacNeill); Corporal Jennifer “Pilot” Chase (Jessica Steen); Sergeant Robert “Scout” Baker (Maurice Dean Wint), and Lieutenant Michael “Tank” Ellis (Sven-Ole Thorsen).
Captain Power was the first TV series to integrate live-action, CGI and digital effects.
