Notable for being Granada producer Michael Cox’s first association with the Sherlock Holmes television series (on this occasion he was Executive Producer), this children’s drama series – based on the life of the famous Baker Street detective when he was a schoolboy – preceded Steven Spielberg’s Young Sherlock Holmes and the Pyramid of Fear by four years.
