This short-lived hour-long comedy-variety show from NBC was advertised as “a hilarious view of today’s world through women’s eyes!” Each episode was hosted by four well-known women from the entertainment world and featured a chorus line of ten male strippers (The Chppendales).
Not only was it not hilarious, but its executive producer (George Schlatter – most famous for Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In), its producer (Bob Wynn), and most of its writers and crew were men.
On-camera regulars included Dottie Archibald, Rhonda Bates, Elayne Boosler, Judy Carter, Alvernette Jiminez, Maureen Murphy, Howie Mandel, David Ruprecht, and comedy duo Monteith & Rand.
Guests included Rita Moreno, Morgan Fairchild, Betty White, Donna Dixon, Eileen Brennan, Lynn Redgrave, Susan Anton, Ruth Buzzi, and Juliet Prowse.
The series was not successful and lasted just a few weeks.
