This comedy series for youngsters from Thames Television was set in the Rose Marie Hotel for resting show-business folk.
Lancastrian ventriloquist Dawson Chance played himself, accompanied by 16 of his ventriloquist puppets, including Willy the tortoise, McDonald the donkey and the Talking Shoes.
Support came from Stanley Bates (the chap in the Bungle suit on Rainbow for many years) as hotel manager Stanley Wates, and Roy Skelton (who had provided the voices of George and Zippy on Rainbow) in a number of roles.
